Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jaidyn Meyers (ranked 2914 p4p, 4659 weight class) and Mark Johnson (ranked 248 p4p, 379 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mark Johnson!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, John Mangel and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson wants to clinch.
Meyers tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Johnson manages to circle out of the way.

and Meyers counters with a lovely shot to the body.

and Meyers counters with a nice body shot.
Johnson darts in trying to clinch
and Meyers counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
It looks like Mark Johnson has been cut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Johnson takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

As Johnson tries to get set, Meyers tries to push him back and clinch up but Johnson manages to avoid the attempt.
Jaidyn Meyers is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Johnson throws a lazy head kick
and Meyers counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Meyers keeps the fight on the outside.
Johnson fails with the takedown
and Meyers moves into the clinch.
Johnson breaks from the clinch.
Johnson throws a right and a left that both miss.
Johnson looks winded!
Meyers avoids the head kick by Johnson.

and Meyers cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Johnson thows a leg kick but Meyers checks it
and Meyers counters with a huge uppercut, hook combination that drops Johnson! The ref has seen enough - he's dived in to stop the fight! Brutal strikes by Meyers!
