The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Quark stuffs the takedown attempt from Norman. Norman gets slowly back to his feet.
Norman shoots in for a takedown but Quark shows good takedown defense.
Quark has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Norman is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Quark gets his way!
Norman looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
Quark is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Norman knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Norman for a finish.

Quark seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Norman for as long as he can get away with.

Quark has his foot on Norman's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Norman works his way back into a safe position though.

Norman is stalling here. Quark is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Norman tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Quark wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Norman seems a little lost for a moment, as Quark dominates the positioning.
