Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Charles Barkley (ranked 1947 p4p, 1844 weight class) and Kokkoro Kirin (ranked 111 p4p, 108 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Barkley might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Space Jam. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 26 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kokkoro Kirin!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Radbod Blank and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kirin throws a hook to the side of Barkley's head but Barkley sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Kirin throws a right hand that misses
letting Barkley counter with a right hand.
A slow jab from Kirin misses its intended target.
Kirin does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Barkley avoids the body shot from Kirin.

and Barkley counters with a nice uppercut.

and Barkley counters with a left to the body.
Kirin throws a body shot but no joy.
Barkley swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.

Kirin throws a hook but Barkley avoids it easily.

and Barkley counters with a nice low kick that buckles Kirin's knee momentarily.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and Barkley makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Kirin walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Barkley is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Kirin takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Barkley fakes the leg kick and cracks Kirin in the body.
Barkley swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Kirin.
Kirin misses with a double jab
and Barkley counters with a right hand that sends Kirin tumbling to the canvas! Can Barkley finish him? He dives into Kirin's guard looking to do just that!
Kirin is rocked!
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Barkley advances to half guard.
Barkley is looking to advance position but Kirin won't allow it.
Barkley is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Charles Barkley dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Barkley throws an overhand right that drops Kirin like a sack of potatoes! Barkley dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!

Our winner, Charles Barkley, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
