Kruger takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
A head kick misses from Kruger.
Sparta Jr steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Kruger.
Hafthor Kruger seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A low kick lands for Kruger.
Kruger has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Macto Legion Fighting Systems in the buildup to the fight.
Kruger scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Sparta Jr on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Sparta Jr darts in looking for a takedown but Kruger gets double underhooks and turns Sparta Jr into the cage.
Kruger misses with an uppercut.
Sparta Jr tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Kruger throws out a powerful jab.
Kruger throws a looping overhand right but Sparta Jr ducks down to avoid it.
Kruger cracks Sparta Jr with a hook to the temple - Sparta Jr is on wobbly legs here! Kruger swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Sparta Jr falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Kruger wins by TKO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Hafthor Kruger!
Hafthor Kruger gave a mention to Warpath Wear in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
