Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lysander Birdwhistle (ranked 2323 p4p, 1323 weight class) and Ilya Muromets (ranked 288 p4p, 173 weight class). Birdwhistle comes into the arena with Black Vultures - Halestorm blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Lysander Birdwhistle!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ilya Muromets!
The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Igor Prikhodko and Konstantin Menshow.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Muromets keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Muromets changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Birdwhistle throws a leg kick that misses.
Muromets tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Birdwhistle thows a leg kick but Muromets checks it
and Muromets counters with a single leg into guard. Birdwhistle didn't expect that.
Muromets sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Muromets working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Muromets is working Birdwhistle over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Birdwhistle has momentary wrist control but Muromets slips an elbow through the middle.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Muromets postures up and lands a big shot to Birdwhistle's brow.
Birdwhistle looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Birdwhistle looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Muromets connects with a couple of short punches.
Birdwhistle has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Muromets should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Birdwhistle has tightened it up now! Muromets should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
