Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sonor Monkhbat (ranked 3810 p4p, 3807 weight class) and John Parry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Sonor Monkhbat!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, John Parry!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Taro Takaoka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Monkhbat has a takedown stuffed.

Monkhbat shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Parry is trying to defend but Monkhbat finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Monkhbat wants to take a breather but Parry is having none of it.
Monkhbat works his foot free and advances to mount.
Parry is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Monkhbat jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Parry is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Parry and Monkhbat has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Parry is trying to get back to his feet.
Monkhbat moves into full mount!

Parry is wriggling around trying to escape.
Monkhbat won't let Parry get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.

Monkhbat is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Parry to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Parry shrugs it off.

Monkhbat moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Parry has worked his arm free - good work by Parry!
Monkhbat tries to advance position but instead Parry slips a leg back in to half guard.
Parry is trying to stand back up but Monkhbat is controlling him

Monkhbat is working for a kimura but Parry is defending it quite comfortably.
Parry wants to control but Monkhbat is keeping busy and won't allow it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Monkhbat looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Monkhbat is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.

Monkhbat drops back, looking for a kneebar! Parry looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Parry looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Parry!

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Monkhbat is trying to work for a sweep but Parry has mounted him!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Monkhbat is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Monkhbat regains half guard.
Monkhbat slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Monkhbat looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Monkhbat looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Parry puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Parry is keen to just control but Monkhbat is a slippery customer.
Monkhbat tries to get to full guard but Parry has control of the leg.
Monkhbat works his way to full guard. Good work.
Monkhbat is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Monkhbat is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Sonor Monkhbat dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!

Parry lands with a slapping head kick.
Sonor Monkhbat seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Monkhbat looks for a takedown but Parry sprawls well.
Monkhbat gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Parry counters with a head kick that crumples his opponent - he's in a world of trouble! Parry looks at the referee who does nothing so Parry lands a crushing right that sends Monkhbat to the floor! This time the ref steps in to end the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:19 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). John Parry!
