Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Paul Richardson (ranked 2707 p4p, 3833 weight class) and Jon Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
As Jones looks to move away, Richardson throws a big counter combo but Jones just gets out of the way.
Richardson throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Jones.
Richardson's jab looks to have found its range, popping Jones under the eye.

It looks like Jon Jones has been cut.

Jones forces Richardson back against the cage and clinches.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Jones should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Jones looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Richardson is fending him off so far but Jones persists. Nope, Richardson circles away and we're back to standing.

Richardson looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Jones shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Richardson as he avoids it easily.
Paul Richardson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jon Jones.
Richardson shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Jones eats them both and turns towards Richardson to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Richardson unloads with some shots from mount but Jones bucks and avoids them well.

Richardson can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Jones is looking to escape.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Richardson softens up his opponent with a couple of shots there and then CRACK! One massive shot lands there and Jones is out cold! Richardson jumps to his feet and celebrates on the cage with the fans, who are, quite frankly, going absolutely mental!
