Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ding Ding Dong (ranked 4489 p4p, 2349 weight class) and Sato Ngata (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ding Ding Dong has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 34 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ding Ding Dong!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Sato Ngata!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Alan Glass and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ding Dong looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Ngata looking to score a takedown here. Ding Dong is defending well but Ngata drives through and ends up in Ding Dong's guard.
Ding Dong looking to control.
Ding Dong is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Ding Dong wants to take a breather but Ngata is having none of it.
Ngata wants to improve his position but Ding Dong is controlling well.
Ngata is holding on to half guard well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ding Dong tries to pass the half guard into mount. Ngata knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Ngata wants to get back to full guard.

Ding Dong is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Ngata is just riding it out for now. Ding Dong eventually gives up the hold.
Ding Dong wants to control but Ngata is keeping him busy.
Ngata gets back to full guard.
Ngata seems keen to control Ding Dong's posture.

Ding Dong is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Ngata is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Ngata has escaped and now he's on top!

Ding Dong looking for a sweep. Not yet Ding Dong, not yet.

Ngata passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Ding Dong is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Ngata off and has taken his back!

Ding Dong looking for the choke but no joy.
Ngata can't escape the position.

Ding Dong is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Ngata defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
Ding Dong scores with punches and elbows.
Ding Dong controlling well, preventing Ngata from escaping the position.
Ngata tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
Ngata holds on to Ding Dong as tight as he can, avoiding damage.
Ngata tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Ngata throwing hammer fists to the chest of Ding Dong. What's that going to do exactly?
Ngata prevents Ding Dong from taking his back.
Ngata is looking to get to half guard.
Ding Dong trying to control but he's not successful this time.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Ngata really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

Ding Dong goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Ngata is on top in guard.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Ding Ding Dong will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Ngata fails with a takedown attempt.

Ding Dong shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Ding Dong prevents Ngata from improving his position.

Ngata looking for submissions off his back.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Ngata can do anything to dispel that myth.

Ding Dong is looking for a kimura here.
Ding Dong is just content to waste time from the top position. Ngata takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Ngata is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Ding Dong defends well.
Ngata can't keep his opponent in guard - Ding Dong advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Ding Dong is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Ngata is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Ngata wants to get back to his feet.

Ngata is defending against the submission attempts here by Ding Dong.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ding Dong is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
The fighters are battling for position here. Ngata manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Ding Dong is fighting to break Ngata's control of his arms but Ngata is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Ngata looking for a sweep. Not yet Ngata, not yet.
Ding Dong wants to pass the guard but Ngata is keeping the position.

Ngata escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ding Dong gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Ngata wants to get back to his feet but Ding Dong is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Ding Dong trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Ding Dong misses with a takedown attempt

and Ngata counters by moving into the clinch.

Ngata pulls Ding Dong into guard.

Ngata has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Ding Dong can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Ding Dong stopping the sweep attempt from Ngata.
Ngata is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Ngata not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Ding Dong trying to control but Ngata is working from the bottom.
Ngata wants to sweep but no luck.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Sato Ngata will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Ding Dong takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Ding Dong shoots for a takedown but Ngata saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Ding Dong gets caught flat footed, as Ngata shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Ngata stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ding Dong swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Ngata sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Ding Dong's guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ngata landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Ngata is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Ding Dong is trying to maintain the position but Ngata is very close to passing his half guard.
Ngata seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Ding Dong is trying to get back to full guard.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Ngata lands a nice short elbow.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Ngata drops an elbow to the side of Ding Dong's head.
Ngata takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Ngata winds up and cracks Ding Dong with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Ngata is controlling the pace.

Ngata is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Ding Dong is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Sato Ngata!
The defeated Ding Ding Dong had this to say: '"Everybody out there know I beat him, I controlled the fight, he was missing, I hit him plenty more times. I beat him.Let me talk something... I want to thank the whole hood who came out here. I love y'all. I did this for the hood, you know I beat that boy.'.
