Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Thufir Hawat (ranked 498 p4p, 212 weight class) and Glen Hoddle (ranked 68 p4p, 31 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 27 - 27 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Thufir Hawat!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 26 - 14 - 0, fighting out of London, Glen Hoddle!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Hoddle counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Hawat!
Hawat holds on tight, trying to prevent any damage.
Hawat is trying to control Hoddle's posture but Hoddle avoids it.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Hawat clobbers Hoddle with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Hawat, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
