Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sergio Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Edgardo Alfonzo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sanchez comes to the cage accompanied by Du Hast. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alfonzo throws a head kick but Sanchez moves out of range.
No joy there for Sanchez, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Sanchez throws a right and a left that both miss.
Alfonzo slips a jab and a cross from Sanchez.
Sanchez dives in and grabs Alfonzo's left leg, looking for a takedown. Alfonzo pushes down on Sanchez's head and hops out.
Sanchez shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Alfonzo has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Sanchez is working away from the top position though.

Sergio Sanchez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Alfonzo leaves Sanchez with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Edgardo Alfonzo comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Alfonzo has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
