Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Radley Salerno (ranked 2720 p4p, 3262 weight class) and Leo Mcknight (ranked 224 p4p, 258 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Radley Salerno! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Leo Mcknight! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Cecil Peabody and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mcknight connects with a crisp jab. Salerno doesn't succeed with the takedown and Mcknight cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Salerno shoots in for a double leg but Mcknight sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Salerno fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Mcknight to the ground. Salerno is now in Mcknight's guard. Mcknight is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Salerno stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mcknight swivels though and keeps the full guard. Mcknight working a defensive guard here.
Salerno wants to control from the top but Mcknight keeps moving. Mcknight wants to sweep here but Salerno controlling him for the moment. We've been hearing that Salerno has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Salerno trying to control the position from guard on top but Mcknight is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mcknight working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Salerno doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Salerno manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Salerno postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
That's one minute gone in the round. Salerno passes Mcknight's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Mcknight is trying to stand up here but Salerno is controlling him well. Mcknight is looking for a sweep. Salerno is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Salerno works his way into full mount! Salerno wants to control the pace but Mcknight is squirming around nicely. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Mcknight can do anything to dispel that myth. Mcknight in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Salerno prevents Mcknight from getting the reversal. Salerno lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Salerno looking to control and managing it successfully. Salerno avoids the attempt from Mcknight to control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Salerno is landing with some decent strikes but Mcknight is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Mcknight is squirming around, avoiding Salerno's attempts to control the action. Salerno cracks Mcknight with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Salerno wants to finish this one by submission but Mcknight is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Salerno. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Salerno working away from the top, dropping strikes. Mcknight really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Mcknight tries to hold on but Salerno pushes him away. Salerno lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Salerno unloading with bombs! Salerno scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Salerno wants to control the pace but Mcknight is squirming around nicely.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Salerno fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
A nice elbow there by Salerno. Salerno trying to control but he's not successful this time. Salerno with shots to the head and body - Mcknight looks very uncomfortable down there. We've been informed that Mcknight has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Mcknight tries to reverse the position but Salerno maintains control. Mcknight wants to control but Salerno is having none of it. Mcknight bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Salerno trying to control the position.
Mcknight trying to control but Salerno is working from the bottom. Salerno has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Salerno is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Salerno prevents Mcknight from improving his position. Ground and pound from Salerno. Salerno is trying to control. Mcknight wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Salerno takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Mcknight has hold of Salerno's hands but Salerno slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Mcknight on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Salerno wants to lay and pray for a moment but Mcknight keeps working. Salerno stalling. Mcknight is trying to control but can't.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Radley Salerno dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action! Mcknight slaps away a takedown attempt from Salerno, before circling back to the center of the mat. Mcknight is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. Mcknight lands a lovely overhand right. Salerno misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. No luck with that takedown attempt from Salerno. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Radley Salerno. That's going to take a lot out of him. Salerno looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Mcknight misses with a wild body shot. Salerno shoots in but no luck this time. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mcknight goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Salerno is rocked!
It looks like Radley Salerno has been cut. Mcknight lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Salerno can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Mcknight and Salerno drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Mcknight.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:53 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Leo Mcknight!
