Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Benjamin Espinoza!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Derrick Rojas!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Stewart Dunkirk and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Espinoza scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Rojas throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Espinoza stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Espinoza throws a shot from downtown. Rojas moves away and avoids it.
Espinoza throws a right and a left that Rojas avoids nicely.
Espinoza falls off balance throwing a combination
and Rojas connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

It looks like Benjamin Espinoza has been cut.
Espinoza lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Espinoza.

It looks like Derrick Rojas has been cut.
Rojas tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Espinoza paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Rojas avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Espinoza misses with a double jab.
Rojas tries a quick counter leg kick but Espinoza is wise to it.
Espinoza swats away the attempt to clinch by Rojas.
Espinoza throws a big counter combination but Rojas scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Rojas tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Espinoza manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
It looked like Espinoza was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Espinoza moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Espinoza gets tackled into the cage by Rojas. Rojas maintains the clinch.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Rojas creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Rojas blocks a punch to the side of the head.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Rojas.
A shot in the inside from Rojas.

Espinoza is rocked!
Rojas swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Rojas creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Espinoza's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Espinoza drops to his knees and Rojas pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Derrick Rojas!
A very excited looking Derrick Rojas made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
