Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brick Flag (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dmitry Medelev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Medelev is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Do It Or Die. Brick Flag could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Dmitry Medelev's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dmitry Medelev!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Yves DeLean and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Flag clinches.

Flag pulls guard effortlessly.
Medelev lands a couple of elbows.
Medelev working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Medelev has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Flag not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Flag on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Flag tries to get out of the position.

Medelev has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Flag avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Medelev lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Flag!

Flag has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Medelev had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Flag is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Medelev Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Flag's back instead.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Medelev stuffs the takedown attempt from Flag. Flag gets slowly back to his feet.
Horrible takedown by Medelev or perhaps it was just good defense by Flag which made him look bad.
Brick Flag has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dmitry Medelev.
No joy there for Medelev, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Flag feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Flag jumps guard but Medelev stands there with Flag around his waist. Flag gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Medelev tries to lock up and control but Flag gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Medelev is desperately trying to improve his position but Flag has a good base and remains in mount.
Flag pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Medelev covers up after taking a massive shot to the side of the head.
Flag has his opponent trapped and is landing shots. Not a good position for Medelev.

Medelev manages to reverse the position and now he's in Flag's guard. Nice work there by Medelev.
