Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Balthazar Carmen (ranked 23692 p4p, 23718 weight class) and Harris Kobelikos (ranked 542 p4p, 528 weight class). Balthazar Carmen could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Harris Kobelikos's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Balthazar Carmen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Harris Kobelikos!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Chris Dean and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kobelikos takes a swing at Carmen's ribcage but misses.
A swing and a miss from Kobelikos.
Kobelikos shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Kobelikos was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kobelikos looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Kobelikos tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kobelikos tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
Kobelikos controls the position from side control.
Carmen defending against the ground and pound.
Kobelikos in side control, throwing shots but Carmen defends.
Kobelikos is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

The ground and pound from Kobelikos seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Kobelikos stands up and beckons Carmen to his feet.
Kobelikos fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Carmen is out of range.
Balthazar Carmen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kobelikos closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Carmen swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Carmen misses with the head strike.
Kobelikos has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Carmen regains guard immediately.

Kobelikos's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Kobelikos wants to get up but he can't break Carmen's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Kobelikos tries to advance to mount but can't.
Kobelikos moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
Carmen is trying to get back to his feet.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Kobelikos slows the pace down.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup.
Carmen on the wrong end of some ground and pound.

That's time! Carmen's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Kobelikos throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Kobelikos shoots in and gets a takedown into Carmen's guard.
Kobelikos wants to pass the guard but Carmen is keeping the position.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Carmen enables Kobelikos to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Carmen manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Kobelikos controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Kobelikos has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Carmen is proving hard to escape from.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Carmen fails with an attempt to clinch.
Carmen tries to close the distance and clinch but Kobelikos swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

and Kobelikos counters with a takedown into side control.
Kobelikos thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Kobelikos is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Carmen will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Carmen wants to get back to his feet but Kobelikos drags him back down.

Check out the look on Kobelikos's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Carmen on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Kobelikos is staying tight to Carmen's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Kobelikos throws a strike aimed at the side of Carmen's head but Carmen avoids it well.

Carmen seems a little lost for a moment, as Kobelikos dominates the positioning.

Harris Kobelikos showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Carmen tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Kobelikos manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Carmen wants to get back to his feet but Kobelikos passes into half guard.

Still in half guard, Kobelikos seems content to control.
Kobelikos is pressing down on Carmen's thigh, looking to free his foot. Carmen is holding on for now.
Kobelikos not doing much here.
Carmen is looking to escape.
Harris Kobelikos is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Kobelikos looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
And that's the end of the fight!
Harris Kobelikos comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Kobelikos has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
