Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Quinton Ellis (ranked 4748 p4p, 3884 weight class) and Gumpy Stoice (ranked 120 p4p, 166 weight class). Quinton Ellis had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Quinton Ellis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Gumpy Stoice!
The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ellis decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Ellis is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Stoice sees it coming and defends easily.
Ellis is looking to take a break and control but Stoice is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Stoice controlling the position for now.
Stoice felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
Stoice on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Ellis will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Stoice has control of Ellis's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Ellis regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Gumpy Stoice comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Stoice has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Gumpy Stoice opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
