Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 24 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Julio Christ!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Remington Knox!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Aafke Stam and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Knox misses with a looping left.
Knox throws a poor cross that misses
and Christ makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Knox throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Christ lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
It looks like Remington Knox has been cut.
Knox throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Knox misses with a jab, cross combination.
Knox throws an off balance right hand
and Christ counters with a low kick, right behind Knox 's knee.
Christ clobbers Knox with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Christ dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Knox looks to score with a jab to the body but Christ is just out of range.
Christ looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

A nice leg kick lands there from Christ.
Knox throws a jab but it's blocked by Christ.
Knox tries to bum rush Christ with a series of wild strikes but Christ uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Knox displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Christ throws out the jab.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Christ.

Knox's coach down at Blacktalians MMA was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Knox's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Knox takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Christ throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Knox let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.

letting Christ counter with a right hand.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Knox ducks right into an uppercut from Christ.
Knox throws out a loose jab but Christ uses good head movement to avoid it.
Knox connects with a body shot that sends Christ's belly button to the back.
Christ cracks Knox with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Knox looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Christ finish him?
Christ lands a big right hand that sends Knox crashing to the mat! Christ stays standing though and waves Knox back to his feet!
Knox is rocked!
Knox throws a right hand that misses
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Christ is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Knox rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Christ rattles Knox with a well-timed uppercut counter. - Knox tries to back away and recover but his hands are down low and he gets tagged again, sending him stumbling down to the canvas. Christ dives in after him and quickly finishes the job with a trio of brutal punches, leaving Knox stiff and motionless on the mat!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Julio Christ!
Our winner, Julio Christ, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
