Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dean Howard (ranked 900 p4p, 465 weight class) and Seppo Maki (ranked 115 p4p, 59 weight class). Seppo Maki has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Dean Howard's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 27 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dean Howard!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Seppo Maki!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Albert Achterberg and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Howard connects with a nice looking jab.
Maki throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Maki with a nice calf kick.
Maki misses with a straight left.
Howard appears to be looking for a counter takedown.

Maki fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Howard on the side of the head.
It looks like Dean Howard has been cut.

Maki really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Howard. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Howard has hold of Maki's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Maki manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Maki tries to hold on but Howard pushes him away.
Howard has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Howard is looking to work his way around to Maki's back. He needs to be careful though, as he's in danger of losing this dominant position.
Howard goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Maki turns into him and now he's in Howard's guard.
Maki tries to stand but Howard is controlling from the bottom.

Maki has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off.

Howard displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Maki throws out the jab.

Howard shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Maki pinned against the cage. Maki gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Oh Howard is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
A low kick lands for Maki.
Maki connects with a jab, followed by a picture perfect straight right that sends Howard to the canvas, out cold! What a finish by Maki!
