Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Donnie Jones (ranked 2112 p4p, 2929 weight class) and Lee Chan (ranked 194 p4p, 259 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Donnie Jones! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Lee Chan! The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Bruno Hogan and Francis DeMontford.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chan swats away the attempt to clinch by Jones. Chan moves into the clinch successfully.

Chan blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Jones just misses with a elbow thrown towards Chan's brow. Jones throws an elbow that misses.
Chan lands a nice elbow. Chan breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. A solid leg kick lands there for Chan.
Jones tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Chan manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jones gets a double leg takedown into Chan's guard. Jones looking to pass the guard. Jones trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Jones throwing strikes from guard but Chan blocks nicely. Jones has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's one minute gone in the round. Chan is looking to stand up but Jones isn't so interested in that idea. Jones controlling from the top position. Chan preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Jones accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Jones wants to control from the top but Chan keeps moving. Chan working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Jones. Jones with a flurry of punches that miss.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Jones showing good wrestling skills to control the position. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Jones trying to control the position from guard on top but Chan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Chan closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Jones throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Chan gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Jones wants to stall.
Chan misses with a punch to the body.
Jones tries for a takedown. No joy.
Chan pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Horrible takedown attempt by Jones or perhaps it was just good defense by Chan, which made it look bad. Jones tries to score a power double leg takedown but Chan sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Jones somewhat. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Donnie Jones. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Chan gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. Chan gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Jones creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Chan stalls. Chan blocks the elbow strike.
Chan lands an elbow that stopped Jones in his tracks for a moment. Chan manages to break the clinch.
Jones looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Jones shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Chan's guard. Chan wants to stand and escape but Jones is having none of it. Jones in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jones working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Jones loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Jones pushes down on Chan's leg and manages to get into half guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Jones throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Chan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jones. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Jones throwing shots but Chan is blocking nicely. Jones moves into full mount! Chan won't be happy about that! Jones misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Jones throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Chan is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Jones is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Chan has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Chan! And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Lee Chan will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Jones shoots for a double leg takedown but Chan sprawls well. He's pushed Jones's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Chan tries to close the distance and clinch up but Jones swats him away and circles back towards the center. Jones shoots in looking for a takedown. Chan tries to sprawl out of it but Jones keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Chan manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Jones shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Chan pinned against the cage. Chan gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Donnie Jones. That's going to take a lot out of him. Chan is looking to land body kicks. Chan slips a jab and a cross from Jones.

Jones has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Chan. Jones fails with a takedown attempt. Jones shoots in for a takedown but Chan shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Chan tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Jones on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Chan moves into the clinch successfully.
Chan has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. Jones seems to have the measure of him in the clinch so far, so let's see if Chan can turn it around. Chan lands a damaging elbow. Jones is trying to drag Chan to the mat but Chan just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Jones changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Chan fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Chan lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Jones misses with a takedown and Chan counters with a low kick, right behind Jones 's knee. Jones throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Chan doesn't manage to clinch there - Jones circles away.
Chan gets caught napping as Jones dives in and scores a takedown. Chan manages to retain guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones passes Chan's right leg, so he's now in half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Jones not landing any meaningful shots this time. Jones prevents Chan from standing back up.
Jones wants to lay and pray for a moment but Chan keeps working. Jones throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Jones is figuring out what he wants to do next. Chan blocking the ground and pound attempt from Jones. Jones throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Chan to regain full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones trying to control the position from guard on top but Chan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Jones postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Jones throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Chan works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Jones crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Chan - the referee stops the clock and Jones gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Chan. Jones manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Jones tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Chan manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Jones tries for a takedown but Chan sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Despite the aggression on Chan's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. A thudding body kick lands there by Chan!

That's four minutes gone in the round. Jones looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Jones keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Chan's head. Chan working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Jones. Chan wants to stand up but Jones is controlling him. Jones trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Jones prevents Chan from getting back to his feet. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Jones trying to control but Chan is working from the bottom. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Jones throwing strikes but missing. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Lee Chan showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Donnie Jones overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Jones throwing shots but Chan is blocking nicely. Chan blocking the ground and pound attempt from Jones.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Chan's head. Jones looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Jones is looking to take a break and control but Chan is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jones not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Donnie Jones has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Chan is not content to let Jones control the position.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Chan tries to close the distance and clinch up but Jones swats him away and circles back towards the center. Jones shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Chan as he jumps to the side. A momentary lapse in concentration from Chan enables Jones to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Chan manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Jones postures up in Chan's guard and throws a big left but Chan blocks it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones throwing strikes from guard but Chan blocks nicely. Jones wants to control from the top but Chan keeps moving. Chan uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Chan gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Jones to score an easy takedown into full guard. Chan keeping moving, preventing Jones from controlling successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Chan preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Jones with a flurry of punches that miss. Jones drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Jones jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Jones postures up in Chan's guard and throws a big left but Chan blocks it. Jones stops Chan from standing up. Jones pushes down on Chan's leg and manages to get into half guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Jones missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Lee Chan is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Chan looks like he's trying to stand up.
And that's the end of the fight! Donnie Jones showed his dominance in that final round. I think Chan has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
