Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Kenyon Collier!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jaylan Mccormick!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Bruno Hogan and Ron Honeybunn.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Collier thuds a left hand into Mccormick's body.
Mccormick throws a big shot that misses.
Mccormick with a body punch. A glancing blow.

Collier looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Still in half guard, Collier seems content to control.
Mccormick looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Collier prevents Mccormick from improving his position.
Collier trying to control the pace.
Collier has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Mccormick trying to control but Collier postures up.

Mccormick keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Collier in particular looking to stall.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Jaylan Mccormick seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Collier closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Collier lands in his opponent's guard.
Collier not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Collier pushing down on Mccormick's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Collier seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Collier is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Collier landing strikes, looking to finish!
Mccormick is bucking up trying to escape but Collier cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Collier takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Collier scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Mccormick?
Collier lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Collier controlling from mount.
Collier's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

BOOM! Collier connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Collier controlling the pace for now.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
This is a sustained period of stalling by Collier.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Mccormick gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Collier to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Collier controlling from the top position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Collier continues to hold on tight.

The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Mccormick swats away the attempt to clinch by Collier.
Mccormick fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Collier looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Mccormick lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

It looks like Kenyon Collier has been cut.
Collier misses with a straight left.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Collier gets a clinch.

Mccormick pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Collier drops his shoulder and cracks Mccormick with a huge uppercut! Mccormick goes down! Can Collier finish him?

It looks like Jaylan Mccormick has been cut.
Kenyon Collier overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Collier's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Collier with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Mccormick is rocked!
Collier working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Mccormick is still in real trouble! Can Collier finish him?
Collier is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Collier arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Mccormick's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:49 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Kenyon Collier!
Kenyon Collier seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
