The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Osborne dips to his left and cracks Melendez with an uppercut!
Osborne cracks Melendez with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Osborne lands a big uppercut and Melendez crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Melendez looks OK. Osborne waves Melendez back to his feet!
Melendez tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Osborne paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Melendez throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Osborne sees it coming and avoids it easily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Osborne throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Melendez stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Osborne lands a big uppercut and Melendez crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Melendez looks OK. Osborne waves Melendez back to his feet!
Melendez is rocked!
Osborne throws a monster overhand right that drops Melendez! Osborne follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Emerson Osborne!
In defeat, Gilbert Melendez stepped up to the mic, saying 'I'm gonna come back stronger and I won't lose again CHAMA'.
