Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Loars Seton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chad Brooks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Loars Seton! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Chad Brooks! The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Edson Gomes and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Seton shoots for a takedown but Brooks saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Brooks doesn't succeed with the takedown and Seton counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Brooks! Brooks is working to get back to half guard.
Seton with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Seton is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Brooks is surviving well by controlling Seton's body position as best he can. Ooooh, that looks tight… Brooks is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Brooks and Seton has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

That's one minute gone in the round. Brooks manages to get back to half guard. Brooks gets back to full guard.
Seton might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Seton is breathing heavily. Seton slips nicely into half guard, despite the strikes coming from Brooks. Seton wants to control but Brooks is keeping him busy. Brooks is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Seton is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Brooks defends it well. Seton is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Brooks keeps control of the position for the meantime. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Seton prevents Brooks from improving his position.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Brooks closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Brooks slowing the pace effectively. Brooks ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Brooks no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Brooks tries to land a sweep but no joy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brooks throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Brooks is looking to stand up but Seton isn't so interested in that idea. Brooks has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Seton can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Seton throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Seton drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Seton jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Brooks is controlling Seton's posture. Brooks throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Brooks shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Seton had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Brooks is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Seton Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Brooks's back instead. Seton is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but Brooks won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips Seton off his unconscious opponent!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Loars Seton!
