Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ching Chong!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Eduardo Carvalho!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Jonathan Paton and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chong fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Carvalho sprawls well initially but Chong persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Chong is thwarting Carvalho's attempts to control the position.
Carvalho is trying to stand up here but Chong is controlling him well.
Carvalho wants to control but Chong is keeping busy.
Chong working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Carvalho's thigh. Carvalho counters though and makes it back to full guard.
Carvalho is looking for a triangle but Chong pushes his legs off easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Chong advances to half guard.
Chong is trying to work for a kimura but Carvalho is defending well.
Carvalho pushes Chong off looking to stand but Chong dives back in and keeps control.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Carvalho is controlling Chong's trapped leg to prevent Chong from advancing to side control.
Carvalho manages to get to full guard.
Carvalho throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Chong tries to free his leg and advance position but Carvalho is retaining full guard.
Chong knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Carvalho on the ground.
Chong has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Carvalho to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Chong is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Carvalho pulls down on the head and he's put Chong to sleep! This one is all over!
