Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Yawa Kiang (ranked 23308 p4p, 23248 weight class) and Way Nada (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Way Nada has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 40 - 78 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Yawa Kiang! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 58 - 60 - 4, fighting out of Las Vegas, Way Nada! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Alan Glass and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Kiang shoots in looking for a takedown but Nada manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Kiang's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Nada steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect. Nada shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Nada tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Kiang swivels and escapes. Nada fails to land the takedown. Kiang thinks about countering with a head kick. Yawa Kiang has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Way Nada. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nada shoots in and bounces Kiang off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kiang looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Nada is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Kiang controlling Nada's posture. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kiang continues to stall.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Kiang looking for a sweep. Not yet Kiang, not yet. Nada's corner is telling him to maintain position. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Kiang dives in for a single leg takedown but Nada sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nada has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Kiang after a bit of a struggle. Nada drops down looking for an ankle pick but Kiang pulls his leg out and moves away.
Nada fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Kiang avoids it really well and circles away. Kiang is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Nada shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. A counter left hand to the body from Kiang misses its target. Kiang throws a half hearted mid kick. A nice side step and Nada releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. Kiang gets the takedown into side control. Kiang remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Yawa Kiang will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Kiang gets a double leg takedown into Nada's guard. Kiang is stalling in the full guard. Kiang looking to sit in guard and control but Nada gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kiang is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nada controls from within his opponent's guard. Way Nada has got the better of the ground game so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Nada throws a big elbow that misses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kiang will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Nada fails to land the takedown. Kiang jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Kiang stuffs the takedown. Kiang drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Kiang working away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kiang happy to just control the position for now. Kiang is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Nada can do to turn this around? You can see the frustration on Nada's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Yawa Kiang dominated that second round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!
Kiang bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. You can see the frustration on Nada's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nada is trying to improve his position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nada can't do much from the bottom here. Nada is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Kiang is staying active. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Nada stuffs the takedown attempt from Kiang. Kiang gets slowly back to his feet. Kiang shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Nada replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Kiang blocks it well. Nada closes the distance and clinches up with Kiang, looking for a takedown. Nada pushes Kiang against the cage but Kiang circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Kiang fails with a takedown attempt from distance. And Nada responds with a good body kick, but Kiang manages to step out the way in time. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Yawa Kiang. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kiang throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kiang stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kiang wants it to stay on the feet. Nada scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Nada wants to control but Kiang is keeping him busy. You can see the frustration on Kiang's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nada is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Kiang will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Way Nada has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Yawa Kiang is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Nada's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Nada misses with the ground and pound. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Yawa Kiang. Well Kiang has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win...
