Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Filipo Mirkovic!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kruce Kanner!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Steven Brown and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mirkovic lands with a thumping leg kick.
Mirkovic jabs Kanner right on the nose. Kanner blinks but takes it well.
Kanner lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
It looks like Filipo Mirkovic has been cut.
Mirkovic works the jab nicely.
Kanner tries to close the distance and clinch up but Mirkovic swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Mirkovic feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Kanner sprawling to the canvas! Kanner rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Mirkovic finish him?!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Mirkovic lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Mirkovic moves in close and cracks Kanner with a massive right hand! Kanner, frozen momentarily in time, tumbles to the canvas, already out cold! A brutal knockout by Mirkovic!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Filipo Mirkovic!
A relieved looking Filipo Mirkovic thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
