Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Augier De Rabat (ranked 1207 p4p, 683 weight class) and Junior Calderon (ranked 111 p4p, 66 weight class). De Rabat's entrance music is Marche des Templiers. A fine choice. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Augier De Rabat!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Junior Calderon!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Roosa Järviläinen and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Calderon throws a body punch but De Rabat moves out of range.
Calderon bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of De Rabat's head.
De Rabat looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
De Rabat uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Calderon.
De Rabat really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

and Calderon counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Calderon scores with the left hand. De Rabat knows he should have avoided that one.
De Rabat takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

De Rabat throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Calderon's waist but Calderon gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing De Rabat off to one side.

Calderon keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

and Calderon counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Junior Calderon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

De Rabat slips a straight right by Calderon.
De Rabat steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Calderon. That one must have hurt.
Calderon scores with a push kick.
De Rabat shoots for a double leg takedown but Calderon sprawls well. He's pushed De Rabat's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Calderon with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

De Rabat dives in and grabs Calderon's left leg, looking for a takedown. Calderon pushes down on De Rabat's head and hops out.
Calderon looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Calderon lands a really nice looking cross but De Rabat seems unphased.
De Rabat is rocked!
Calderon is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches De Rabat flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! De Rabat is out cold! Calderon holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Junior Calderon!
