Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Poyzan Cloud (ranked 2925 p4p, 3371 weight class) and Elijah Highlander (ranked 249 p4p, 273 weight class). Elijah Highlander will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Poyzan Cloud!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Elijah Highlander!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Highlander misses with a hook. Cloud ducked under it nicely.
Highlander throws a good cross that connects.
Cloud wants to clinch.
Cloud moves in looking to clinch but Highlander pushes him off.
Highlander looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Cloud misses with a jab, cross combination.
Cloud fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Highlander looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Highlander blocks a jab.
Cloud has Highlander up against the cage in a clinch.
I was talking to Cloud's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Highlander ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Highlander no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Highlander keeping moving, preventing Cloud from controlling successfully.
Highlander looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Cloud drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Cloud jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Cloud forces his way into half guard.
Highlander blocking the ground and pound attempt from Cloud.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Highlander looking for submissions off his back.
Cloud is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Cloud trying to control but Highlander is having none of it.
Cloud thowing shots but they're missing.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cloud wants to finish this one by submission but Highlander is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Cloud.
Cloud is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Highlander to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Highlander shrugs it off.
Highlander tries to lock up and control but Cloud gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Highlander working to try and regain half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Cloud quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Cloud but it's paid off an Highlander is forced to tap! Nice work by Cloud.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Poyzan Cloud!
