The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gentry misses with a kick to the body
and Hamilton counters by moving into the clinch.
Hamilton tightens his grip and picks Gentry up, before dumping him to the ground. Gentry manages to land in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hamilton pushes down on Gentry's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Hamilton works his way into side control.

Gentry knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hamilton on the ground.
Hamilton is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Gentry is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Hamilton has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Gentry is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Hamilton yanks on the arm and Gentry is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Hamilton.
