Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Beckwitz Jugges (ranked 1098 p4p, 1522 weight class) and Jorg Wegner (ranked 144 p4p, 191 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Beckwitz Jugges! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jorg Wegner! The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Valeri Chadov and Illya Tyunina.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jugges misses the jab. Wegner manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Jugges on his heels. He'll look to pass Jugges's guard now, I'm sure. Wegner is looking to work some ground and pound but Jugges has wrist control. Wegner lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Jugges utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Jugges wants to sweep here but Wegner controlling him for the moment. Wegner content to stall in guard here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wegner postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jugges preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Wegner connects with a couple of short punches. Wegner working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Jugges's head. Jugges is trying to keep Wegner in close.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Jugges misses with a hook. Wegner tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Wegner moves out of range as Jugges strikes. Jugges throws a big shot that misses. Wegner changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Wegner closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Wegner lands in his opponent's guard. Jugges is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Wegner seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Wegner won't allow Jugges to sweep him here.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Wegner throwing strikes but Jugges manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control! Wegner struggling a bit here. Wegner holding on.

Jugges looking to control but instead Wegner has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard. Wegner has his hands clasped together around Jugges's back. He's all about the action. The adventures of Wegner the control monster continue. Boring. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
