Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ernest Chabot (ranked 4298 p4p, 1390 weight class) and Bella Miele (ranked 325 p4p, 136 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Ernest Chabot! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bella Miele! The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Daniel Bishop and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chabot fails with a takedown attempt. Chabot drives through with a takedown into Miele's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Miele looking to hit a scissor sweep but Chabot is one step ahead there. Miele is trying to control the position but Chabot postures up. Chabot stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Miele swivels though and keeps the full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Chabot slips nicely into half guard. Chabot content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Miele wants to control but Chabot is keeping busy and won't allow it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Miele is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Chabot is taking a breather. Miele says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Miele tries to roll over but Chabot keeps him under control. Chabot controlling the action here. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Chabot doesn't succeed with the takedown and Miele decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Chabot's guard. Miele working some strikes from top position. Chabot working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Miele.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Miele postures up in Chabot's guard and throws a big left but Chabot blocks it. Chabot is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Miele wants to control from the top but Chabot keeps moving. Miele is looking to work some ground and pound but Chabot has wrist control. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Miele working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Chabot shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Miele counters by moving into the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ernest Chabot. That's going to take a lot out of him. Chabot is looking to take this one to the mat.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Chabot manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Miele escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Chabot shoots in but doesn't get the takedown enabling Miele to counter with a crisp jab. Miele looks for a takedown but Chabot sprawls well. Miele fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Chabot avoids it really well and circles away. Miele stuffs the takedown. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Chabot has a takedown stuffed. Miele closes the distance and pushes Chabot back into the cage. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Bella Miele dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Chabot takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Miele darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Chabot desperately trying to maintain half guard. Miele is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Miele wants to control but Chabot is keeping him busy. We've been informed that Miele has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Miele lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Chabot is looking for a sweep. Miele is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Miele is controlling the pace.
Chabot is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at Copes, so we'll see if he gets out of it. Miele has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Miele is looking for a kimura but Chabot is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Miele to get the leverage. Miele has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Ground and pound from Miele. Miele trying to advance position but Chabot counters by regaining guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Chabot managing to control the position. Miele showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Miele looking to pass the guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Miele accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Miele trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Miele defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Chabot. Chabot has a takedown stuffed. Miele scores with a takedown into Chabot's guard. Miele wants to pass the guard but Chabot is keeping the position. Miele throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Chabot works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Miele trying to control but Chabot is working from the bottom. Chabot seems keen to control Miele's posture. Miele pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Chabot is keeping the position for now. Chabot seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Miele throwing strikes from guard but Chabot blocks nicely.

Bella Miele showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round! Miele slaps away a takedown attempt from Chabot, before circling back to the center of the mat. Chabot fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Chabot misses with a takedown and Miele counters with a shoot takedown. Chabot fights it but they end up in guard. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ernest Chabot. That's going to take a lot out of him. Miele passes Chabot's left leg - he's now in half guard. Miele tries to pass the half guard into mount. Chabot knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Miele is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Chabot reverses the position - he's now on top in Miele's guard. Chabot controls from within his opponent's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. The fighters are working up against the cage. Miele manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage. Miele drops down looking for an ankle pick but Chabot pulls his leg out and moves away.
Chabot shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Miele counters with a one-two to the body. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Chabot is defended easily by Miele. Chabot shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Miele as he jumps to the side. Chabot shoots in for a takedown but Miele shows good takedown defense.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Miele looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Miele throws a strike but Chabot rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. This has been an exciting period of action! Chabot seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Chabot's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Miele is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Miele is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Chabot controlling from the top position. Bella Miele is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Chabot wants to pass the guard but Miele is keeping the position. Chabot is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Chabot has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Miele not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Miele wants to sweep here but Chabot controlling him for the moment. Miele looking for a guillotine here but Chabot defends easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Miele working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Chabot doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Chabot manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Chabot controls from within his opponent's guard.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Miele instigates a clinch. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Miele jumps guard and drags Chabot to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Chabot content to stall in guard here. Ernest Chabot has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
And that's the end of the fight! Bella Miele comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Miele has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
