Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ching Chong!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Eduardo Carvalho!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Anthony Taglia and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chong has a takedown stuffed.
Chong showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Carvalho.
Carvalho clinches.
Carvalho prevents the takedown attempt.
Chong is working for takedown but Carvalho is calmly controlling the position for now.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ching Chong. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Carvalho prevents a takedown attempt there.
Carvalho is looking to break free of the clinch but Chong has double underhooks.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Carvalho misses with the head strike.
Chong tries to score a body lock takedown but Carvalho shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Chong is trying to drag Carvalho to the mat but Carvalho just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Chong is breathing heavily.
Chong is fighting off a takedown attempt but Carvalho is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Chong to the mat. Chong regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Carvalho sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Chong's guard.
Chong actively working from the bottom here.
Carvalho is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Carvalho takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Carvalho is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Chong is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
