Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Toe Licker (ranked 2057 p4p, 3146 weight class) and Randell Robertson (ranked 191 p4p, 266 weight class). Toe Licker could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Randell Robertson's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Toe Licker! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 4 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Randell Robertson! The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Colin Fray and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Robertson closes the distance looking to clinch and Licker counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Licker avoids a punch combination nicely.
Robertson defending well as Licker loads up on a big left hand. Robertson takes one to the side of the head.

Licker jabs Robertson right on the nose. Robertson blinks but takes it well. A punch combination from Licker misses. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. It looks like Randell Robertson has been cut. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Robertson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Licker as he jumps to the side. Robertson is still on wobbly legs! Can Licker finish him? Robertson throws a lazy right hand but Licker sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Robertson seems to have recovered his senses.

Robertson walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Robertson slips a jab and a cross from Licker.
Licker avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
We've been told by Licker's head coaches at Vancouver Island Fight Club that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Licker throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Robertson counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Robertson wants to take a breather but Licker is having none of it. Robertson controlling the action here. Licker on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Licker tries to get out of the position. Robertson missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Robertson is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Licker sees it coming and defends easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Robertson is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Licker makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Licker. Licker keeping moving, preventing Robertson from controlling successfully. Robertson is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Robertson throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Licker might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Robertson wants to stand but Licker is controlling his posture from full guard.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Licker throws an overhand right that lands on Robertson's shoulder, as Robertson tries to avoid the shot. Licker misses with a straight right. Licker throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Robertson is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Robertson is defended easily by Licker. Licker tries to bum rush Robertson with a series of wild strikes but Robertson uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Robertson with a lazy takedown attempt and Licker counters with a lovely straight right hand! Toe Licker has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Randell Robertson. Robertson takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Robertson throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Licker scores with a decent looking hook. Licker scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Robertson fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Licker, pushing him back against the cage. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Robertson jumps guard but Licker stands there with Robertson around his waist. Robertson gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Licker breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Toe Licker is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Licker catches Robertson with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Licker tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Robertson was well out of range. Poor timing from Licker. Robertson wants to counter with a clinch but Licker pushes him away. Licker tries to bum rush Robertson with a series of wild strikes but Robertson uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Licker lands a two punch combo.

Licker darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Robertson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Licker tries to bum rush Robertson with a series of wild strikes but Robertson uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Licker works Robertson's body with a nice hook. Robertson slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Licker wants to stand but Robertson is controlling the position. Robertson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Licker swivels though and keeps the full guard. Licker knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Robertson on the ground. Robertson slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Licker cracks Robertson with a right hand to the side of the head. Robertson throws a head kick that misses and Licker counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Robertson thinking. Licker throws a right and a left that both miss. Robertson tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Licker lands a really nice looking cross but Robertson seems unphased.

Robertson rushes Licker and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Robertson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Licker takes a swing at Robertson's ribcage but misses. Robertson avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Licker sizes up Robertson with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Robertson takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Robertson has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Licker is proving hard to escape from. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Licker wants to stand and escape but Robertson is having none of it.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Robertson looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. And that's the end of the fight! Toe Licker showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Licker, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
