Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Michael Bostic (ranked 2724 p4p, 2779 weight class) and Hans Peter Baxxter (ranked 239 p4p, 256 weight class). Bostic comes to the cage accompanied by Move. The crowd seem to be enjoying Baxxter's choice of entrance music: Weekend, Scooter. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 22 - 21 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Michael Bostic! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 20 - 14 - 1, fighting out of London, Hans Peter Baxxter! The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice shot lands for Bostic. Baxxter misses with a looping left. Michael Bostic seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bostic slips under a jab. Bostic connects with the punch. Baxxter lands with a thumping leg kick.
Bostic throws a body punch but Baxxter moves out of range. A little jabbing left from Baxxter on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Baxxter throws a wild body kick that Bostic sees coming a mile off. Bostic tried to counter with a leg kick but Baxxter avoided it. Baxxter avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Baxxter counters with a body kick. Bostic missing with a left hand there. Baxxter was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Bostic lands a nice shot to the body.
Bostic connects with a good right hand that stumbles Baxxter. Baxxter circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Baxxter throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Bostic's head. Baxxter moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. A jab lands there for Bostic. This has been an exciting period of action! Bostic catches Baxxter with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Bostic moves out of range of the strikes. Baxxter has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. A looping hook to the body misses from Bostic. Baxxter does a little dance to reset his feet. Bostic misses the shot to the body. Baxxter swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Bostic wants to land a leg kick but Baxxter is out of range. Baxxter scores with a kick to the midsection.
 That's one minute gone in the round. A big right from Baxxter misses. Bostic misses with a wild body shot. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Baxxter. Bostic throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

A head kick misses from Baxxter. Baxxter takes a swing at Bostic's ribcage but misses. Baxxter tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Bostic was well out of range. Poor timing from Baxxter. Bostic throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Baxxter stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Baxxter is positioning himself well to prevent Bostic advancing to mount. Baxxter avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Bostic.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Bostic in particular looking to stall. Bostic wants to free his trapped foot but Baxxter is holding on for dear life with his legs. Baxxter taking some punishment here, with Bostic in his half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Bostic is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Bostic slips a nice elbow through Baxxter's hands, connecting with Baxxter's forehead. Bostic lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Bostic lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Baxxter keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Bostic has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Baxxter taking some punishment here, with Bostic in his half guard. Bostic thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Baxxter's head.
Bostic is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Baxxter is staying active underneath Bostic, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Bostic stalling away here and it's allowed Baxxter to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Baxxter is pulling down on Bostic's head. It's preventing any offense from Bostic, at least for the moment. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Baxxter keeping moving, preventing Bostic from controlling successfully. We've been hearing that Bostic has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. Baxxter is trying to control the position but Bostic postures up. Bostic sitting in guard here, content to control. Bostic stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Baxxter swivels though and keeps the full guard. A slapping body kick lands there for Baxxter. Bostic throws a body shot but no joy. Baxxter throws out a counter right but Bostic avoids it with no problem. Bostic throws a lazy uppercut
and Baxxter counters with a left to the body. Baxxter throws a looping overhand right but Bostic ducks down to avoid it. Baxxter throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Baxxter moves out of range of the body kick. Baxxter let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land. Bostic avoids the head kick by Baxxter.
Sloppy strikes from Bostic. Those never looked like landing. A big right from Bostic misses. Baxxter swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Bostic lands a nice shot to the body.
Baxxter misses the jab. Bostic went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Good exchange - Baxxter coming out on top. Baxxter throws out a loose jab but Bostic uses good head movement to avoid it. Baxxter throws a hook but Bostic blocks it. Baxxter takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Bostic misses with a wild body shot. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Baxxter throws a nice looking combination but Bostic bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Bostic scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. A big left from Bostic misses. Bostic is looking to wear down Baxxter with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Baxxter looks for the body kick but Bostic saw that one coming. Baxxter throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

Bostic digs a right hand into Baxxter's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Baxxter's gas tank. Baxxter prevents a takedown attempt there.

Bostic pushes Baxxter back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Michael Bostic is winning the standup battle so far. Bostic ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Baxxter moves away.
Bostic shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Baxxter napping and manages to drive through into side control! Bostic is looking to take a break and control but Baxxter is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Michael Bostic overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Baxxter is looking to regain half guard here but Bostic keeps moving and retains side control. Bostic connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Baxxter some visible discomfort.

Bostic tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Bostic has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Bostic thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Bostic trying to control the action but Baxxter is working from the bottom.

Bostic swings around for an armbar but Baxxter sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Bostic's guard. Bostic looking to control.
Bostic working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Baxxter doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Baxxter manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Baxxter wants to stand but Bostic has a closed guard, so he can't escape. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Michael Bostic will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!

Bostic takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Bostic throws a strike but Baxxter avoids it easily and moves to full guard. Baxxter wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Baxxter utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Baxxter is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Bostic scores with a couple of nice shots. Bostic looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Bostic with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Bostic not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Bostic stalling. Baxxter is not content to let Bostic control the position. Michael Bostic is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Bostic is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
