Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Soda Popinski (ranked 306 p4p, 1059 weight class) and Martin Jonsson (ranked 40 p4p, 136 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Martin Jonsson!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Percy O'Donnell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jonsson throws a predictable looking body shot
and Popinski counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Popinski misses the jab.
Popinski takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Jonsson misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Popinski.
A quick step to the side and Popinski tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Jonsson looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Popinski takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Jonsson jabs Popinski right on the nose. Popinski blinks but takes it well.
Popinski throws a hook but Jonsson avoids it easily.
Jonsson throws a right hand that Popinski ducks under and follows up with a left that Popinski also avoids with ease.
It looked like Popinski was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Jonsson.
Good standup being displayed there by Jonsson as he connects with a hook.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Popinski walks right into a perfectly timed right hook and goes down hard! He's out cold! The ref cradles Popinski limp body while Jonsson jumps on to the cage and waves to the roaring crowd. Wow that was just a brutal knockout!
