Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Davis Frye (ranked 23709 p4p, 3689 weight class) and Aldo Leopold (ranked 513 p4p, 394 weight class). Davis Frye has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Davis Frye!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Aldo Leopold!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Frye with a hook.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Leopold has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Leopold looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Frye manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
Leopold gets control of Frye's arms and successfully pulls guard. Leopold will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Frye wanted to stand there but Leopold had control of the position.
Frye trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

Frye dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Leopold. That did some damage!

It looks like Aldo Leopold has been cut.
A nice combination there by Frye.

Frye lands a nice leg kick that just misses Leopold's sensitive parts.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Frye, as that shot connected.
Frye cracks Leopold with an open hand slap.
A punch combination from Frye misses.
Some wild striking there from Frye.
Leopold changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Frye looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Frye is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Leopold asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Frye tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.
Frye is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.
Frye looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Leopold is riding his opponent, not letting Frye buck him off.
Frye wants to get back to his feet.

Leopold lands an elbow to the side of the head.

Frye is trying to get back to his feet but Leopold has full control of the position and if anything, Frye has just worked his way into a worse spot.
Leopold is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish.

What can Frye do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
Leopold lands with a hammerfist to the side of Frye's head.

and Leopold counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Frye pushes Leopold off, looking to escape but Leopold dives into side control. He's locked up a kimura now - that was fast! He's cranking on it and Frye is forced to tap! The fight is over!
