0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mbeki Mbrowne! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Frank Dennis and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mbrowne throws a series of punches but Wachooski avoids them all with ease. Some wild striking there from Mbrowne.
Wachooski takes a shot right to the bread basket. Mbrowne shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. No joy there for Mbrowne, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Wachooski fails with the takedown. Mbeki Mbrowne seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Wachooski darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Mbrowne is not content to let Wachooski control the position. Wachooski perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Wachooski lands a heavy elbow. Wachooski pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Wachooski controlling from mount. Wachooski wants to control the pace but Mbrowne is squirming around nicely. Wachooski knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mbrowne on the ground. Wachooski takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wachooski seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Wachooski is keen to just control but Mbrowne is a slippery customer. Wachooski takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Mbrowne is not content to let Wachooski control the position. Wachooski wants to free his trapped foot but Mbrowne is holding on for dear life with his legs.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Mbrowne tries to clinch but Wachooski moves out of range. Wachooski shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Wachooski is breathing heavily. Mbrowne scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Mbrowne misses with a wild combination.

That was a close round but I would say that Larry Wachooski will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Wachooski feints and as Mbrowne raises his hands in defense, Wachooski changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Wachooski gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Mbrowne goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Mbeki Mbrowne is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Mbrowne lands a nice hook to Wachooski's body. Wachooski takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! No joy there for Mbrowne, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Wachooski cracks Mbrowne with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Mbrowne won't allow Wachooski to sweep him here. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Wachooski holds on and takes a little breather.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Mbrowne keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Wachooski shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
