Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Fish Oper (ranked 25263 p4p, 3280 weight class) and Jimmy Black (ranked 368 p4p, 270 weight class). Jimmy Black will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Fish Oper!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jimmy Black!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Daniel Franklin and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oper gets caught napping as Black dives in and scores a takedown. Oper manages to retain guard.

Oper is looking for a triangle but Black pushes his legs off easily.
Black avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Black's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Black distracts Oper with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Black is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Black really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Oper. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

This has been an exciting period of action!

We've been hearing good reports from Oper's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Black is a very stocky fighter. Infact he's such a weird shape that he's almost like some sort of comedy character - it's hard to believe he's real.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Black connects with a nice short shot to Oper's temple.

Black is trying to get back to his feet. He's worked up on to his knees and now he's on his feet with his head on the canvas, trying to shake Oper off. It looks like it's working - Oper slides off, much to his dismay, and we're back to standing! Black displaying calm under pressure there.

That was a close second round but I would say that Fish Oper will probably get the nod.

Jimmy Black decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
