Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kwame Shikongo (ranked 2744 p4p, 4838 weight class) and Ibrahim Nurzhan (ranked 305 p4p, 448 weight class). Nurzhan is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Kazakh Disco Dance. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kwame Shikongo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ibrahim Nurzhan!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Chris Downing and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nurzhan swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Shikongo counters with a thumping low kick.
Nurzhan tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Shikongo counters with a nice leg kick.
Shikongo keeps the fight on the outside.
Shikongo throws a head kick that half lands.
Shikongo throws a head kick but Nurzhan moves out of range.
Nurzhan tries to counter with a clinch but Shikongo shakes him off and moves away.
Nurzhan connects with a solid leg kick.
Nurzhan looks to throw a body kick
and Shikongo counters with a slapping leg kick.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nurzhan throws a right hand that misses
and Shikongo counters with a nice uppercut.
Nurzhan tries to work over Shikongo's front leg with a kick but Shikongo checks it.
Nurzhan fails with the takedown
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Shikongo goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Shikongo scores with a leg kick.
A low kick from Nurzhan misses
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Nurzhan wants to clinch
and Shikongo counters with a nice body shot.
Nurzhan throws a lazy uppercut
and Shikongo makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Nurzhan really felt that one!
Nurzhan throws a body kick, spinning off balance
enabling Shikongo to counter with a crisp jab.
Nurzhan moves to clinch but Shikongo breaks away
and Shikongo counters with a nice low kick that buckles Nurzhan's knee momentarily.
Shikongo lands a big head kick that sends Nurzhan tumbling to the mat! Shikongo takes a step backwards and waves Nurzhan back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Nurzhan is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
A chopping leg kick lands by Shikongo.
Ibrahim Nurzhan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nurzhan tries to clinch up.

and Shikongo counters with a nice body kick.

and Shikongo counters with a nice uppercut.
Nurzhan wants to stay close but Shikongo steps back to make room for something. Nurzhan seems frozen to the spot and bam! huge swing of the leg from Shikongo and Nurzhan drops like he has been shot! A huge head kick and it's all over!
