Coming up we have a lightweight kickboxing rules bout between Kenjiro Tokugawa (ranked 4383 p4p, 3663 weight class) and Schmedgar Dimms (ranked 324 p4p, 282 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 16 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kenjiro Tokugawa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 30 - 18 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Schmedgar Dimms!
The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Paul Gruel and Roger Salmon.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tokugawa misses the shot to the body.
Dimms wants to counter the offense by Tokugawa and move into the clinch position.
Tokugawa misses with a hook to the body
letting Dimms counter with a right hand.
Tokugawa tries to work over Dimms's front leg with a kick but Dimms checks it.
Tokugawa is looking to clinch.
A big left from Dimms misses.
No joy there for Dimms, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Dimms takes one to the side of the head.
We've been hearing reports that Tokugawa has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

The fighters circle momentarily. Dimms darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Dimms throws a right and a left that Tokugawa avoids nicely.

Tokugawa wants to land a leg kick but Dimms is out of range.
Tokugawa goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

Dimms cracks Tokugawa with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Kenjiro Tokugawa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

That was a close round but I would say that Kenjiro Tokugawa will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Tokugawa went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

Dimms does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

And an attempted straight right on the counter from Dimms! But no joy.

Dimms dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Dimms connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Tokugawa's hands.
Dimms comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Dimms pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
This has been an exciting period of action!
The crowd cheers as Dimms lands an impressive looking overhand right. Tokugawa doesn't seem phased though.
Dimms throws a right hand that Tokugawa ducks under and follows up with a left that Tokugawa also avoids with ease.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Kenjiro Tokugawa.
I think Tokugawa has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
