Cross kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Irregular God. Simon Cross has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 6 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Simon Cross! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dominic Toretto! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Chris Edwards and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cross darts in looking for a takedown but Toretto gets double underhooks and turns Cross into the cage. We've been hearing reports that Cross has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Toretto looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Toretto is pressed up against the cage. Cross has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Toretto down to the mat. Toretto avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Cross misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Simon Cross. That's going to take a lot out of him. Cross shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Toretto is trying to defend but Cross finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Cross is looking for a kimura but Toretto is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Cross to get the leverage. Cross in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Toretto tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Cross!
