Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Cedric Duran (ranked 2372 p4p, 4075 weight class) and Raynor Anderson Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cedric Duran could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Raynor Anderson Jones's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Cedric Duran!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Raynor Anderson Jones!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Nard Betker and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anderson Jones closes this distance looking for a takedown but Duran circles away.

Duran closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Anderson Jones is trying to escape back to his feet but Duran uses the scramble to pass into side control.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
An elbow from Duran crashes against the mat.
Duran tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Duran thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Duran throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

Duran is trying to get an arm triangle but Anderson Jones is defending well.
Duran lands a decent elbow from side control.
Duran tries to score with some ground and pound. Anderson Jones controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Anderson Jones is looking to regain half guard here but Duran keeps moving and retains side control.

Duran content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
You can see the frustration on Anderson Jones's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Duran throws a strike aimed at the side of Anderson Jones's head but Anderson Jones avoids it well.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Anderson Jones looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Duran looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
The strikes coming from Duran are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Duran is looking to take a break and control but Anderson Jones is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Anderson Jones can't do much from the bottom here.
Duran tries to move into full mount but can't pass Anderson Jones's legs.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Anderson Jones tries to bench press Duran off him but Duran keeps the position.
Duran is looking to take a break and control but Anderson Jones is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Duran closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Duran lands in his opponent's guard.

Anderson Jones is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Duran presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
Duran wants a takedown but no success here.
Duran jumps guard but Anderson Jones turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Anderson Jones is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Anderson Jones is trying to pull guard but Duran has him pressed against the cage.
Anderson Jones jumps guard but Duran stands there with Anderson Jones around his waist. Anderson Jones gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
A frustrated look appears on Duran's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Anderson Jones's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Anderson Jones lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Duran backs up against the cage.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Duran fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Duran darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Anderson Jones has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Duran is on him like a limpet, forcing Anderson Jones back against the cage.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Anderson Jones has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Duran avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Duran has had enough of the clinch but Anderson Jones keeps him there for the moment.

Anderson Jones escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Duran tries for a takedown but Anderson Jones sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Duran is pressed up against the cage. Anderson Jones has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Duran down to the mat. Duran avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Cedric Duran is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Duran tries to close the distance and clinch up but Anderson Jones swats him away and circles back towards the center.

and Anderson Jones cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Horrible takedown attempt by Duran or perhaps it was just good defense by Anderson Jones, which made it look bad.
Anderson Jones lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Anderson Jones moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Duran misses with a takedown attempt - Anderson Jones sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Raynor Anderson Jones showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Duran's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Duran shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Anderson Jones's guard.

Duran wants to finish this one by submission but Anderson Jones is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Duran.

Duran is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Anderson Jones to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Anderson Jones shrugs it off.

Anderson Jones is wriggling around here but as he tries to escape, Duran has taken his back.
A lull in the action here.
Anderson Jones really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Duran. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Duran has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Anderson Jones has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
