PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Arthur Brade (ranked 3420 p4p, 5140 weight class) and Vlad Lukashenko (ranked 94 p4p, 189 weight class). Brade comes into the arena with Jamiroquai - Canned Heat blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 10 - 1, fighting out of London, Arthur Brade!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Vlad Lukashenko!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, William Gold and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brade throws a body kick that misses.

Brade clinches up with Lukashenko and pushes him back against the cage.
Lukashenko jumps guard but Brade turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Lukashenko is trying to pull guard but Brade turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Brade's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Brade is pushing Lukashenko up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Brade stalling against the cage.
Brade lands a hook that snaps the head of Lukashenko backwards.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Brade breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Brade throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Lukashenko tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
A cross from Brade lands.
Brade with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Brade's jab looks to have found its range, popping Lukashenko under the eye.
Brade bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Lukashenko's head.
Brade connects with a jab.

Brade darts in and clinches Lukashenko up against the cage.
Lukashenko is trying to pull guard but Brade has him pressed against the cage.
Arthur Brade has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Vlad Lukashenko.

Brade manages to break the clinch.
Sloppy strikes from Brade. Those never looked like landing.
Lukashenko feints the counter takedown.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Brade moves into the clinch.
Lukashenko is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Brade to keep the fight standing.
Lukashenko tries for a takedown but Brade manages to get underhooks.
Lukashenko wants a takedown.
A nice left hand lands by Brade.
Lukashenko being controlled against the cage.
Brade pushes Lukashenko back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Lukashenko is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Lukashenko drops down looking for an ankle pick but Brade pulls his leg out and moves away.
Lukashenko looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Brade moves into the clinch successfully.
Lukashenko jumps guard but Brade turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Brade is pressed up against the cage. Lukashenko has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Brade down to the mat. Brade avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Brade looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Brade misses with the combination.
Brade lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Brade moves into the clinch successfully.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Brade.
Lukashenko goes for a takedown in the clinch but Brade prevents it.

Brade pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Brade has taken the fight to the clinch.

Brade breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Nice uppercut there from Brade.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Brade cracks a nice hook into Lukashenko's ribs.
Arthur Brade seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Brade takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Nice shot lands for Brade.
A jab lands there for Brade.

Lukashenko is rocked!
Brade scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Arthur Brade dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Brade feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Lukashenko sprawling to the canvas! Lukashenko rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Brade finish him?!
Brade fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
A solid leg kick lands there for Brade.

Brade clinches with his opponent.
Brade is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Lukashenko changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Brade fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Good standup being displayed there by Brade as he connects with a hook.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Brade scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Brade.
Lukashenko is breathing heavily.
Brade fakes the leg kick and cracks Lukashenko in the body.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Brade lands the left hand.
Lukashenko ducks right into an uppercut from Brade.
Lukashenko is starting to get sloppy and is letting his hands down. Brade just took advantage and landed a stinging jab. Oh! Now a right hook, right on the button! Lukashenko has gone limp and this one is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:21 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Arthur Brade!
