The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ripley closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Sanchez pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Sanchez takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Ripley avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Ripley throws a right hand that Sanchez ducks under and follows up with a left that Sanchez also avoids with ease.
Sanchez throws a body shot but no joy.
Sanchez doesn't manage to clinch there - Ripley circles away.
Ripley throws a big counter combination but Sanchez scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Samuel Sanchez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ripley misses with a two punch combination.
Ripley misses with a hook. Sanchez ducked under it nicely.
Ripley lands the left hand.

Ripley rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Sanchez moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Both fighters circle each other, looking for something big. Ripley moves in and throws an overhand right. That hurt Sanchez! Ripley continues to tee off on Sanchez, landing with a left and a right! Ripley connects with a right hand that leaves Sanchez sleeping against the ropes! What a finish by Ripley!
