Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Dexter Mallin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Matthew Griffin!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Bruno Lombardi and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Griffin scores with a jab. Mallin acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Mallin throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Griffin misses the shot to the body.
Dexter Mallin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Griffin scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Mallin lands a big head kick that sends Griffin tumbling to the mat! Mallin takes a step backwards and waves Griffin back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Griffin is rocked!
It looks like Matthew Griffin has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Mallin darts in and clinches Griffin up against the cage.
Griffin is still on wobbly legs! Can Mallin finish him?
Mallin lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Mallin misses with a punch to the body.
Griffin seems to have recovered his senses.
Mallin lands a nice shot to the body.
Mallin throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Griffin blocks it with crossed arms.
Mallin lands an elbow that stopped Griffin in his tracks for a moment.
That has opened up Matthew Griffin's cut even more.
Griffin wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Griffin tries to circle away but Mallin has him pinned against the cage.
Mallin keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Griffin's efforts to push away.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Mallin lands a damaging elbow.
The cut above Matthew Griffin's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Griffin has Mallin pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Mallin manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Griffin is trying to push Mallin away but Mallin has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
A short uppercut from Mallin.
Matthew Griffin's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Mallin lands a damaging elbow.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Matthew Griffin's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Dexter Mallin!
Dexter Mallin decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
