Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Clifford Val Salvacion (ranked 23051 p4p, 23296 weight class) and Gakus Amiga (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 33 - 84 - 6, fighting out of Las Vegas, Clifford Val Salvacion! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 47 - 66 - 7, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gakus Amiga! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Wesley Smith and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Salvacion tries for a takedown but Amiga circles away easily and Amiga counters with a body kick that stops Salvacion in his tracks momentarily. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Amiga. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Salvacion dives in for a single leg takedown but Amiga sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Salvacion drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Amiga gets the underhooks and prevents it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Clifford Val Salvacion. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Salvacion tries for a takedown but Amiga manages to get underhooks.
Salvacion gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Salvacion is standing up over Amiga. Amiga looks to escape but Salvacion dives into side control.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Amiga is being controlled here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Salvacion is looking to take a break and control but Amiga is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Amiga sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Salvacion stalling. Amiga trying to control from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Salvacion controlling the action here.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Salvacion gets the takedown into side control. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Clifford Val Salvacion dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Amiga shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Salvacion pinned against the cage. Salvacion gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Salvacion throws a quick counter kick to the body but Amiga avoids it. Amiga fails with a takedown attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Amiga closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Salvacion's guard. Salvacion wants to get back to his feet but Amiga passes into half guard.
Amiga thows a huge punch but Salvacion dodges it nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Salvacion is trying to maintain the position but Amiga is very close to passing his half guard. Salvacion is staying active underneath Amiga, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Clifford Val Salvacion overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Salvacion trying to control from the bottom.
Amiga is figuring out what he wants to do next. Amiga is thwarting Salvacion's attempts to control the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Amiga is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard. Amiga showing good wrestling skills to control the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Salvacion pulls Amiga in close to his closed guard and prevents Amiga from doing any damage or advancing position.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Amiga closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Salvacion is trying to maintain the position but Amiga is very close to passing his half guard. Salvacion is doing well to control the position and prevent Amiga from advancing to side control. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Gakus Amiga showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round! Amiga tries to score a power double leg takedown but Salvacion sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Amiga somewhat. Amiga closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Amiga lands in his opponent's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Salvacion pulls Amiga in close to his closed guard and prevents Amiga from doing any damage or advancing position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Amiga looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Let's hope that Amiga has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Salvacion is trying to pull guard but Amiga turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Salvacion has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Amiga is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Clifford Val Salvacion. That's going to take a lot out of him. Salvacion has hold of one of Amiga's legs. Amiga is fighting the takedown attempt but Salvacion gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Amiga trying to control the position here.
And that's the end of the fight! Gakus Amiga comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Amiga has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
