Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Xi Daerji (ranked 25103 p4p, 23181 weight class) and Rico Salvacion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Xi Daerji!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 54 - 63 - 6, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rico Salvacion!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Shigeki Sano and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Salvacion looks for a takedown but Daerji sprawls well.
Daerji looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.
Daerji throws a head kick but Salvacion moves out of range.
Salvacion replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Daerji blocks it well.
Daerji darts in and clinches Salvacion up against the cage.
Salvacion is looking for a takedown.
Salvacion goes for a takedown attempt but Daerji pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

That was a close round but I would say that Xi Daerji will probably get the nod.

Salvacion really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Daerji. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Daerji throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Daerji controls Salvacion momentarily but Salvacion frees himself.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Salvacion avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Salvacion has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Daerji not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Salvacion wants to control from the top but Daerji keeps moving.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Daerji lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Rico Salvacion showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Daerji dives in and grabs Salvacion's left leg, looking for a takedown. Salvacion pushes down on Daerji's head and hops out.
And Salvacion responds with a good body kick, but Daerji manages to step out the way in time.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Xi Daerji.
I think Daerji has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
