Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Big Papa!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Nickolas Holt!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, James Glass and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Holt wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Papa misses with an uppercut.
Papa throws a combination. Holt tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Holt scores with a three punch combo!
It looks like Big Papa has been cut.
Holt misses with a jab, cross combination.
Papa moves into the clinch.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Papa.
Papa tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Holt tries to throw a body punch but Papa avoids it by throwing Holt back against the cage.
Holt misses with a hook from the clinch.
Holt prevents Papa from breaking the clinch.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Holt.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
A nice left hand lands by Papa.

A hook to the body from Holt.
Papa working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Papa wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Holt has him pressed against the cage.
Holt goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Holt has had enough of the clinch but Papa keeps him there for the moment.
Holt lands a nice shot to the body.
Papa is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Papa prevents a body shot from Holt.
Papa wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Papa is trying to push Holt away but Holt has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Papa has Holt pressed against the cage.
A head punch on the inside from Holt fails to land.
Papa avoiding damage.
Holt breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Nickolas Holt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Holt throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Papa's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Holt dives in looking to finish as Papa flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Holt's strikes! Holt is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Papa's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Papa was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Nickolas Holt!

Nickolas Holt decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
