Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, O Brian Nortega!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Filippo Coca!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Tiny Johnson and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nortega dives in for a single leg takedown but Coca sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Coca has Nortega pressed against the cage, preventing Nortega from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Coca pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Nortega.
Coca leaves Nortega with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for O Brian Nortega. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Coca scores with a jab to the jaw.
Coca moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nortega defending well as Coca loads up on a big left hand.
Coca throws a leg kick but Nortega checks it.
Nortega looks to land a left hand but Coca moved out of range nicely.
Coca moves into the clinch.

Coca tries to pull guard but Nortega won't allow it.

Coca lands a shoulder strike.
Coca lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Coca with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Coca manages to break the clinch.
Nortega ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Coca throws a solid leg kick but Nortega takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Coca.
Coca cracks Nortega with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Coca lands the left hand.
Coca uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Nortega.
Coca fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Nortega.
Coca misses with a looping left.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
A telegraphed right hand from Coca misses the target.
It looked like Nortega was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Coca.
Coca throws a hook to the side of Nortega's head but Nortega sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Nortega is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight.
Coca fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Nortega has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Nortega closes the distance and clinches up with Coca, looking for a takedown. Nortega pushes Coca against the cage but Coca circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Coca throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.

Nortega lands with a cross.
Coca moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Nortega misses the shot to the body.
Nortega moves out of range as Coca strikes.
Coca lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
A big right from Nortega misses.

Coca works the jab nicely.
Filippo Coca seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nortega is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Coca's half guard.
Coca keeping control of the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Coca tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Nortega has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
Nortega manages to capitalize on a mistake by Coca to take his back!
Nortega has one arm under Coca 's neck. Coca is controlling the other arm well. He's just looking to survive right now. Nortega manages to get his arm free though and Coca is in a world of trouble! Nortega sinks in the hooks and squeezes! Coca turns purple and then goes limp. The referee steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). O Brian Nortega!
In his post fight interview, O Brian Nortega gave a big smile as he said 'Just like the Eagle, I unveiled my feathers to this little man and pecked at his lower crotch region. Being able to do what I love for a living is amazing, AND I LOVE CROTCH SNIFFING'.
