Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 29 - 1, fighting out of London, Jake Askren!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 12 - 1, fighting out of London, Koa Bouddi!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, James Ackerman and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Askren is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Bouddi's half guard.
Askren prevents Bouddi from improving his position.
Bouddi is not content to let Askren control the position.
Bouddi is trying to control but can't.
Bouddi wants to improve his position but Askren is controlling well.
Askren trying to pass the guard but Bouddi defending well.
Bouddi makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Bouddi.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Askren trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Bouddi lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Bouddi would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Bouddi gets to his feet - Askren follows without any prompting.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Askren.
Askren looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
That kick from Bouddi tenderised Askren's leg. Askren is trying to keep his angry face on.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Askren takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Askren shoots in and drives through. Bouddi sprawls well.
Askren doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Bouddi connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jake Askren. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Askren is breathing heavily.
Bouddi feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Askrens jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Askren blocks a head kick by Bouddi.
Askren shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Bouddi counters with a thumping low kick.
Askren changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bouddi tries to avoid it but Askren manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bouddi to the ground. Bouddi escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
A thudding body kick lands there by Bouddi!
Bouddi keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Askren has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Bouddi.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Askren keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Bouddi feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Askrens jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Askren fails with the takedown
and Bouddi counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Bouddi lands a big uppercut and Askren crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Askren looks OK. Bouddi waves Askren back to his feet!
Askren is rocked!
Askren looks up at the clock. Bad move! Bouddi lands a right hand from hell, dropping Askren. Bouddi pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Koa Bouddi!
Koa Bouddi decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
