Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Balink Tarlah (ranked 2040 p4p, 22747 weight class) and Ethan Campbell (ranked 263 p4p, 575 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 35 - 27 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Balink Tarlah!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 22 - 0, fighting out of London, Ethan Campbell!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, William Peck and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Campbell takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Tarlah looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Campbell!
Tarlah slows the pace down.
Tarlah working the head with strikes.
Tarlah landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.
Tarlah is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Campbell's shoulder. That is not cool.
Campbell tries to bench press Tarlah off him but Tarlah keeps the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Campbell is being controlled here.
Tarlah lands a decent elbow from side control.
Campbell takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Tarlah in side control, just content to control the action for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Campbell tries to improve position but can't.
Tarlah is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Campbell's shoulder. That is not cool.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
You can see the frustration on Campbell's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Campbell takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
An inside leg kick from Campbell misses.
Tarlah fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

Tarlah lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Tarlah feints and then cracks Campbell's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Campbell down.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Campbell.

Tarlah lands with a thumping leg kick.
Campbell looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Tarlah throws a nice inside leg kick.
Tarlah digs a good hook to Campbell's body.
Tarlah misses with a jab, cross combination.

Tarlah shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Tarlah content to control rather than advance.

Tarlah prevents Campbell from improving his position.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Tarlah drives through with a takedown into guard.
Tarlah pushing down on Campbell's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Tarlah is taking a breather. Campbell says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Tarlah working over Campbell with some ground and pound. Campbell looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Tarlah with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Tarlah lands a nice short elbow.
Tarlah is taking a breather. Campbell says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Tarlah has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
This is a sustained period of stalling by Tarlah.
Tarlah working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Tarlah slips a nice elbow through Campbell's hands, connecting with Campbell's forehead.
Tarlah has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Tarlah moves into full mount! Campbell won't be happy about that!

Tarlah is landing with some decent strikes but Campbell is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Campbell is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Tarlah prevents Campbell from getting the reversal.

Tarlah pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Tarlah lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Tarlah controlling the position easily from mount.
Tarlah's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Campbell tries to hold on but Tarlah postures up.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!


Tarlah dives in and scores a takedown into Campbell's guard.
Campbell can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Tarlah controls the pace.
Tarlah seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Campbell for as long as he can get away with.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Further stalling from Tarlah.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Campbell fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Tarlah manages to avoid it.

Tarlah drives through with a takedown into Campbell's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Campbell is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Tarlah dives into side control.

Tarlah happy to just control the position for now.
If it seems like I'm not saying a lot, it's just because Tarlah is stinking the place up with his stalling.

Tarlah continues to hold on tight.
Balink Tarlah overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Campbell seems a little lost for a moment, as Tarlah dominates the positioning.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Tarlah lands a decent elbow from side control.

And that's the end of the fight!
Balink Tarlah showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Tarlah has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
