Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Eli Vieira (ranked 2348 p4p, 18849 weight class) and Andor Kovacs (ranked 271 p4p, 565 weight class). Andor Kovacs will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 18 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Eli Vieira! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 26 - 31 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Andor Kovacs! The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Paul Aken and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kovacs scores with a leg kick.
Vieira blocks a low kick nicely. Kovacs swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Vieira changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Kovacs throws a sloppy head kick and Vieira counters with a straight punch to the midsection. A big right from Kovacs misses. Kovacs throws a solid leg kick but Vieira takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Kovacs. Kovacs throws a lazy head kick and Vieira counters with a shoot takedown. Kovacs fights it but they end up in guard. Vieira controls from within his opponent's guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Vieira prevents Kovacs from getting back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vieira pushes down on Kovacs's leg and manages to get into half guard. Vieira works his foot free and advances to mount. Vieira sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Kovacs's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Vieira controlling his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. You get the feeling that Kovacs really doesn't like being in this position too much.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Vieira tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Kovacs defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Vieira. Kovacs is trying to stand but he's not in a good position to be doing that! Vieira has taken his back! Kovacs is squirming around looking to escape but he's just wriggling himself into more trouble. Vieira sinks in the hooks and manages to tighten his grip on a rear naked choke. Kovacs has no choice but to tap and Vieira jumps to his feet to celebrate and slick submission win!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Eli Vieira! Eli Vieira opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see. In defeat, Andor Kovacs stepped up to the mic, saying 'Tnough lost , i want bum phillps next'.
